You might want to hear what I have to say about HP

DO NOT BUY HP, DO NOT BUY HEWLETT PACKARD COMPUTER


Shame on me, I did not buy just one HP computer, no no, I bought two and got burnt not once but twice.


My excuse for being STUPID ENOUGH TO GET BURNED TWICE, is that the first one was for my son. At the time my son was a teen, so the problems that he had with his computer were because of my son's misuse... so I thought!

That is my excuse and I hate excuses, but.... HP has no excuse for making a bad product and worst of all they HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEMS! What they did do was call me several dozen times to make sure that the representative was NICE TO ME. They were nice to me but problems went unfixed.

I do not want to bore you with all the problems, but I want to mention some because I want you to know that you SHOULD NOT BUY HP! One of the first problems (from the start) was CD/DVD , it will play but both picture and music are garbled (sounds terrible, looks worse), it will not write at all, it has trouble getting online and more trouble getting off, it has trouble shutting down(it won't shut down sometimes or when it does it restarts, when it is not supposed to, oh yes, HP still owes me $100 rebate. Except for CD/DVD probs, my son's computer had SAME shut down, start up problems and slowed to a crawl.

Enough about me, LET'S TALK ABOUT HP! If you buy an HP computer (which I sincerely hope you do not), let us hope you do not have any problems.


WHY? HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

Dealing with a company that has so many irons in the fire, you will have fun finding the right department to help you.
If you have a rebate coming, their rebate department is beyond Outer Mongolia, YOU CANNOT GET THERE FORM HERE. (actually I believe it is a seperate company,why? who knows? It does make things more fun, I'm being facetious)
I hope you like waiting while on hold or online, you can be sure you will be on hold.
I do not know for sure, but every time I called HP, I got INDIA, or PAKISTAN, no kidding!
I do not mind talking to anyone, but if you are calling from USA, it is nice to talk with someone who can speak some English. Really, it was very difficult to understand the persons (numerous people, numerous calls), that I was speaking with,...and we were trying to do technical stuff which made communication even more difficult.
Now here is something else that you can look forward to: After being on phone for several hours with no luck ....usually in the evening.... then next day ...not one but two or threee calls to make sure everyone was nice to you, and Email surveys as well. OH, THEY WERE NICE, BUT
MY COMPUTER IS NOT FIXED!!!

So all the nice in the world and I still have a piece of junk! Think about it ... nowadays a computer with CD/DVD read and write problems, you do not want an HP computer. Any computer might have a problem, but when you cannot get the problem fixed is when you cannot recommend them. When you are due a rebate and you do not get it, well that seems close to stealing.

By the way, my experince with IBM, Dell, and Pionex computers has been FANTASTIC! (I have no financial interest in any of these three, just good results).
